What
is wireless broadband?
Wireless broadband is a radio-frequency
technology used to deliver data at speeds of up to 108mbps.
Locations within a 3 mile radius of a transmitting tower
are the best candidates for service.
What
is required to receive service?
To be eligible to receive wireless
broadband, you must be within 3 miles of a tower location
or within one mile of a repeater station. A clear line
of sight is also essential, but usually is not a problem.
You will also need a Windows 98, 98se, 2000 or XP computer
with a Network Interface Card (NIC). Our cutting-edge
VoIP service works over your existing wireless broadband
connection.
Do
I Qualify?
You
can view our coverage areas here.
We are looking to rapidly expand, if you are in an area
in need of broadband internet, contact sales@nexgenaccess.com.
What
equipment is involved?
Our equipment usually consists of just a small 10"
x 13" antenna mounted on your roof. No intrusive
large grid antenna's or satellite dishes.
How
long does installation take?
Installation typically takes about 1 hour and the cost
is included in our setup fee. Additional PC or Network
service is available at the time of installation for a
low price of just $40 per hour.
Can
I increase my speed?
If you find that you want more
speed, you can increase your speed at any time with one
quick call to our sales office! Nothing needs to be done
on your end, so that means no high connection charges.
Just give us a call!
Do
I need a phone line or cable connection?
Our service will not tie up your phone and we are able
to deliver you a reliable always-on dedicated connection
without involving the middle man. By using our service
over conventional high speed options, you avoid the need
to subscribe to "premium services" offered by
Telco and cable companies. In addition, you avoid all
those taxes you see on your monthly cable/phone bill.
How
does your service compare to cable or DSL?
Just like cable and DSL, our service is a fast, always-on
reliable internet connection, but with NexGenAccess, there
is no required "premium" service subscription.
There are no taxes for home users. Unlike cable, your
connection is a dedicated connection, no bandwidth sharing.
Unlike DSL, there are no pesky phone line filters to mess
with.
How
are you able to offer your service at such a low price?
Why are cable and phone companies charging such
a high price? We wish we could tell you. Truth be told,
cable and phone rates have been on a continual up-climb
for several years and that $29.95 cable/DSL connection
you have now will soon become a $49.95 cable/DSL connection
or higher! We will never
raise rates on existing customers. We can offer such a
low price because we realize most people have not yet
jumped on the broadband bandwagon due to price and we
are giving our customers everything they need, and nothing
they don't.
What
if I still have questions?
If you still have questions, please don't hesitate
to email our sales team at sales@nexgenaccess.com
and we will promptly answer any questions you may have.
What is VoIP?
VoIP is Voice over Internet Protocol. In short, you can
use the power of your wireless broadband connection to
make voice and video calls ANYWHERE in the world! VoIP
incorporates all of the conventional features of your
current land line based voice service at more than half
the cost! You can port your existing telephone number and
still retain 911 functionality!
What are the requirements for VoIP service?
Any broadband based application can be used for VoIP. You
do not need to be a current NGA customer to subscribe to
our VoIP service. To obtain the best quality of service,
we require users have at least a 384k connection.
